Privacy protection is every one’s right. This blog is about privacy protection and being anonymous on android platforms.
Before begin with privacy protection tools and techniques first let’s put a glance on who are the people who can breach our privacy or the parties interested in our privacy.

But as far as privacy is censored in android smart phones. The following parties legally breach our privacy.
1. Our smart phone manufacturer. (so choose smart phone manufacturers wisely)
2. Operating system providers. (In android based systems yes I am talking about google)
In windows based smartphone Microsoft will collect your privacy data.
3. Cellular network providers or ISPs (internet service providers) collect your private data.
4. Apps/ software’s may be collect your personal or private data.
Remember I haven’t discussed any other illegal way to breach privacy like.
1. Virus
2. Warm
3. Spam Wares.
4. Torgen
5. Phishing techniques
6. Section hijacks.
7. Network ARP poising
8. Venerability’s in an operating system. (like straight fright venerability in android versions less than 7)

Pre requirements:
Don’t be afraid from the word “Pre requirements” all the tools and apps are free. The following things you should do before protecting your privacy in android smartphone.
1. Those brands android smartphones who can allow you to change default apps for (launchers, phone dial-er pads, sms apps and browser) Like Oppo don’t allow its user to change default apps. In those smart phone you will not be able to protect your privacy who don’t allow to change default apps.
2. Don’t buy smarts phones of any manufactures whose android version is less than 7. Below version 7 of androids, all are hack able with a single sms.
3. If you are not an expert, then don’t root your smartphone.
4. You need a “2ndline app” and “Temporary email app” both are readily available on play store.

PRIVACY PROTECTION IN ANDROID DEVICES STEP 1: (Anonymous Gmail account)
Open “Temporary email and copy a temporary email form that app”.
Now open 2nd line and registered it with temporary email. And get an US number +1 number for free from 2ns line.
Then go to www.gmail.com for registering a G mail account without providing a true identity info: (for anonymity) and register with providing 2nd line number.
PRIVACY PROTECTION IN ANDROID DEVICES STEP 2: (backup and do a factory restore)
If you are using a brand new smartphone, then skip this step otherwise if you are trying to follow “privacy protection in android steps” in used phone then please backup your data first. For backup you can use “My phone explorer” it’s free and easy to use but you can use any software for your backup it’s up to you.
Note: Backing up your contact is must because for privacy we are not going to use any old email address we will use the email address to register the android devices with the email we have taken by using step 1 so it will not contain your Contacts in new email account.
Now after backup do a complete factory restore. Even not letting audio video pics and SD card data in phone. Yes, we will also format the SD card because it may contain any malicious cods to hack your smartphone again.
PRIVACY PROTECTION IN ANDROID DEVICES STEP 3: (Android singing up and Google account privacy setting)
Sing in your android device by Gmail ID from step 1. while singing or setting up android device don’t participate in any android improvement projects. After the device is started go to google account setting and change the following settings.

You should not use your true time zone so that no one can trace your country by time stamps.

After doing the setting set one of them default browser. Don’t let systems browsers by default.
PRIVACY PROTECTION IN ANDROID DEVICES STEP 7: (Changing the Default Touch Pad or Key Pad/Key board)
All your data which you type even passwords are store by default keyboard. By creating a log file and letting the manufactures to know, in which app you have typed what and when. So changing smartphones keyboard is essential and necessary.
For key board never ever use “gosms” keyboard. Because it will show your typed passwords and security cords in keyword suggestion bar.
There are many keyboards available but we will recommend you to use those keyboards which don’t contain adds, have incognito mode while typing in social apps like WhatsApp, signal, Facebook etc and its internet connection can be block able to users.

Setting for Swifty-Keyboard are easy just remember that you always on the incognito mode all the time “never let keyboard to learn the words typed”. Don’t connect it with any Gmail account or email id.

Again as the manufacturers have the policy to collect your personal data never use default apps for SMS. If you have signal installed the make it defaults sms app. If you are not found of signal, then you must use silence app. Both the apps are free on Play store.

The apps are self-explanatory in setting up. Just remember that also block screen short setting in this apps. Because those warms or malicious cords which let your smartphones screen to get remotely shared then screen short blocking will prevent to share in app data on these screens.
Never use these apps. Textra, Gosms, True caller. These are stylish and user friendly but as privacy point of view never ever use them their data is not encrypted in your SD card or phone storage.

Use any phone dialer other than android default dialer. “Contacts X-Dialer & contacts free” it’s free on google play store and we will restrict its access to internet.

You can use any file manager accept android default file manager. But never use “ES-File explorer” it collects your private data. Use File commander and block its access to internet.in further steps we will learn how to block internet access in upcoming steps.

You can use any app launcher instead of android default launcher but block its access to internet. The best one is Nova Launcher and Go launcher. We recommend Nova launcher but its purchased in app. Go launcher collects data but we will block its access to internet.

PRIVACY PROTECTION IN ANDROID DEVICES STEP 11: (restricting the app Permissions)
Go to settings Apps Manager and click the app whom you want to change the permissions. Try to use logic. For example, if you are giving access to file manager for data read and write. then block its internet access, don’t give permission to read call history/log files and also block access to contacts. Use these type of logic's for all apps.

This is the most important step to do. Use fire wall to block internet access to apps. and use Proxy/VPNs for encrypting internet traffic. Please don’t use white list apps or don’t unblock camera and microphone for any one app. Once you need to use camera just go and unblock to all the apps but don’t use white list options or don’t do any app whitelisted.

Once you have done this setting all the internet and Wi-Fi will be blocked for use. Now when you click on certain app, let supposed to say WhatsApp then you will get a notification in notification bar to edit the firewall settings then allow individual apps to access the cellular data and Wi-Fi data but don’t allow Wi-Fi data when the screen is off and also don’t allow the cellular data when screen is off. Repeat the same process on apps where you think internet access to certain app is necessary. Unusual data usage will be blocked automatically. For WhatsApp setting example see the pics bellow.
